Care & the hand-rolled hem
Silk twill improves with careful ownership. As each hem is rolled by hand, dimensions may vary slightly: this is the signature of the technique, not a fault.
Washing
Every Mlle Ceinté silk scarf is crafted from 100% Pure Silk, a delicate natural fibre that deserves gentle care. Professional dry cleaning is strongly recommended. Avoid washing with water and detergent. Do not use bleach or tumble dry.
Drying & ironing
Dry flat on linen, away from direct light. Iron on the reverse at the silk setting while very slightly damp; never press the rolled hem flat.
Storing
Fold along the original creases, wrap in the tissue it arrived in, and keep it in the box. Never hang a carré by one corner.
The hem, and why it varies
Each hem is rolled by hand, so a scarf may measure a few millimetres either side of 50 cm. This is the signature of the technique.
