It starts with a line, and ends in silk.
Mlle Ceinté was founded on a single dissatisfaction: that the quality of a hand-rolled silk carré had become inseparable from the price of a name.
We print on 100% pure silk twill, 14mm, the same weight and hand the great houses use. The designs are drawn in Paris. The finishing happens in Türkiye, where women artisans roll and stitch each of the four hems by hand, a technique that takes forty minutes a scarf and cannot be mechanised.
What we removed was not the craft. It was the markup that has nothing to do with it.
The drawings are made in Paris, and they are not chased from a trend board. They come from art history, from the proportions of a building, from the geometry that repeats itself in a leaf. Each carré holds one idea and carries it at the neck.
A scarf like this is not worn so much as kept. That is the whole of what we set out to make.
Rolled toward the printed face, then stitched with silk thread in the same tone. It is the one detail that cannot be faked, and the first thing a collector looks for.
Our atelier is a community of women artisans who have mastered silk for two decades. Every hem passes through hands seasoned by years of practice, a skill no machine can imitate.
